Elliott is 7 months old. He sure has become a very busy little guy this past month. On the day he turned 6 months, he started crawling. About two weeks later, on new years eve, he pulled himself up on something. We weren't expecting to have Elliott get into EVERYTHING so soon. It really amazes me what he can get into.
This last month, Elliott had his first Christmas. I think it was a successful one. Nana and grandpa came for Christmas eve and Christmas day. In the afternoon on Christmas day, we went to Oregon and stayed through the weekend. It was a good but exhausting trip. The last few days, Elliott has started to be able to walk while holding on to the couch or coffee table. I really wouldn't be surprised if our strong little man was walking on his own by 8 months. The cat is now one of his favorite things. The poor cat is so patient with him. Elliott has definitely pulled his fur pretty hard and all the cat does is look at him annoyed or walk away. We are still working really hard with Elliott on being gentile. He loves to grab faces and hair. He grabs things so fast too. It’s like he has sticky fingers. My mom was holding him and the next thing she knew he had her hoop earring in his mouth. She didn’t even feel him grab it.
On Christmas day, Elliott started solids. We started with green beans and I think they are his least favorite. Elliott loves sweet potatoes and squash (so far). Which leads us to cloth diapering. Once solids started, cloth diapering stopped. I just can’t deal with spraying the poop in the toilet. Plus, I had been having a hard enough time getting the diapers clean with the washer in our condo before solids started. Elliott was getting ammonia burns for the cloth diapers before. We decided it would just be easier to change over to disposable.
Sleep with little man is pretty inconsistent. He will go a few days of sleeping through the night, or only waking up once, to waking up 3 or 4 times a night. We use the cry-it-out method for getting him to sleep and it seems to work well with him.
Elliott is such a happy little guy. He adores his daddy and is still a little cuddle bug with mommy.
